Interested in becoming a Police Officer in Bristol?  Please download and complete our Application for consideration. The application will need to be filled out and turned in at the Bristol Police Department or by email to bristolpd@bristolpolice.org,  to be considered for employment.

All submitted applications for employment will be held by the Bristol Police Department for one (1) year after the date of submission.  All applications older than one (1) year will be destroyed and considered invalid.  Anyone wishing to be considered for an open position must have a current application file.

The Bristol Police Department will not consider any applicant who submits an incomplete application.  All information on the application must be fully answered and/or fully explained.  If a question does not pertain to your specific situation, place “N/A” (not applicable) on the answer line. For example,  If you did not serve in the military, an acceptable answer would be “N/A”.  Do not use “N/A” to avoid answering questions.  All questions that ask for further explanation must have sufficient explanation to assist administration or the background investigating officer full detail to understand your answer.
